The Sacred Garden, nestled in the heart of Maliko Gulch (just two miles below the town of Makawao) is a working nursery specializing in orchids, exotic tropicals, water plants and ornamentals.

The Sacred Garden is free and open to the public daily and offers complimentary tea, hot chocolate and water.
Whether you are coming for tropical plants, to acquire the ingredients or ideas for creating your own sacred garden at home, meditate in the presence of the sweetest Buddha on Maui (and one of the biggest!) or enjoy a walking meditation in the Chartres Cathedral style labyrinth in the midst of a beautiful Kukui Grove beside the stream, or the 7-circuit labyrinth in the Quan Yin gardenone can not help but be transformed from visiting this tranquil environment.
The Sacred Garden Labyrinths are free and open to the public during the garden's open hours for unguided labyrinth walks. Labyrinth Facilitator, Eve Hogan, also offers facilitated Labyrinth walks and presentations in The Sacred Garden, for the public and private retreatsstaff, family, rites of passage, women's groups, etc.

Eve Eschner Hogan, proprietor of The Sacred Garden, is an inspirational speaker, author, relationship specialist, labyrinth facilitator and wedding officiant. She offers regularly scheduled classes, private coaching and personalized retreats on Relationships Self-esteem Writing Personal and Spiritual alignment.
Marla Owen is the Green Thumb of the garden and the reason that the plants are so beautiful! She is the proprietor of her own nursery and is a great blessing to The Sacred Garden.

Directions from the airport: Take Keolani Road from the airport to the Hana Hwy (KMART is on the left).
Turn left on the Hana Hwy. Go about a mile to the stoplight.
Turn right on the Haleakala Hwy and go up four and a half miles (Watch for the number 4 mile marker on the side of the road.)
Turn left on Haliimaile Rd. (The first place there is a left hand turn lane.)
Take Haliimaile all the way to the end, to the stop sign.
Turn right on Baldwin Rd. and go a quarter mile up.
Turn left on Kaluanui Rd. Follow Kaluanui 1 mile; go over the little bridge, where the road turns to the right into Maliko Gulch. Continue to where the road goes into a hairpin turn. You will see The Sacred Garden on the right. |

| Directions from Makawao Town: From Makawao Ave go down Baldwin Avenue about 2 miles. After you pass the Art Hui on your right, take the next right, Kaluanui Rd. Follow Kaluanui 1 mile; go over the little bridge, where the road turns to the right into Maliko Gulch. Continue to where the road goes into a hairpin turn. You will see The Sacred Garden on the right. |
